These temperatures are frigid. A woman in Eugene, Carrie Miller, recently froze to death a night the Egan Warming Centers didn’t open for lack of staff. Whenever I’m out in such weather, I think of what it is to be without shelter or protection, and remember those in need. Not projection, judgment, speculation about why or how, but the reality of unrelieved cold. Mashal Jalaluddin reminded me of this reality today, so I’m going to put together what I have to give. Perhaps you will, too?
