“Guess what? There is no demonstratable evidence [that feeding kids who face hunger helps them in school]!” The enthusiasm for this idiocy. Does anyone, conservative or liberal, who’s spent any time at a school with low-income children doubt that breakfast and lunch are sorely needed for some kids– and that if those kids went hungry, they would be able to learn? I just cannot even.
